lol, i did run nitros, but i converted to electric due to the practicality. Some good batteries are some SMC IB's. I heard EP's are good, but i don't know exactly where to get them. SMC IB's are cheap from towerhobbies.

looks like the body design is different....

I too ordered one tonight. I generally prefer 1/5 gas but I want something I can bash around the neighborhood without alerting the fuzz.

I just saw the V-Twin concept video on traxxas.com...thats pretty crazy lol. If they come out with a conversion I'll definitely give it a try, I might even jury right up a dual VXL setup before then though.

yeah, but you spent $500 total to get that code to work

if you only buy an emax they take of $35 not $50 (not that $15 bucks is that much.....)

What are some good batteries to get for this? I am only running 7.2V 3000mah NIMH's, and I am having a hard time getting them to fully charge on my Duratrax Pirahna digital charger. It's only charging them for about 20 minutes to about 900mah.?? I guess my soldering job could have sucked on the Traxxas connectors...

Who makes the pack? Chances are, it's a low quality pack that is loosing it's punch.

Team Orion - Super Duty plus. I bought them about a year ago and never used them. The first time I charged them was just yesterday.

I just ordered that set for my new E-maxx (which I dont have yet, still in the mail somewhere) Dont know how good the batteries are but they seem decent enough for the price.

Should have a lot of punch in the e-maxx. They arn't the highest quality batteries, but for the price they are good.

Yeah, if and when I go brushless I'll get something fancier.

Yeah I'm looking forward to the truck, lately ive been doing pretty much only 1/5 and 1/6 gas cars and trucks. I love them but theyre not something I can just take out whenever and wherever I want.

Man, the new E-Maxx is sweet.

I was considering waiting a few weeks for that model, or just getting my Rustler VXL I have now. I got the Rustler:

It only eats one battery at a time

It is fast

It is serious racing material for stadium

But the new E-Maxx's waterproof feature makes it for the ultimate weather runner, which is what is needed up here in the Northwest. Makes me wanna get that as well.

I owned the t4 and up until recently a e-maxx. I thought the t4 was not for me because of the lower ground clearence, and being a racer. The e-maxx was nice because of the high ground clearence, but it took up two batteries at once[:'(]..
Then I found my stampede. It was a simple, efficiant, exellent jumper, you name it. It was awesome. You should get your rustler waterproofed, and get some m2k's or moabs... That would lift it up and make it a more capable offroader.

My dream mod-out is a med. clearance Rustler that can handle deep puddles, snow, and rain. And one that can hug terrain perfectly, for an indoor stadium raceway I live near.

RE: 16.8V New E-maxx

It's all in the setup. After I widen my pede, I think it's about perfect, right where I want it.
