The traxxas plugs will be on the truck. I would go with them unless you want to change.

I'm really hoping there was a typo and those are actually 20C packs. Because if they really are 2C then you're going to get 10 amps out of them.

RE: What type of connector

The stock motor/ESC setup will not work with lipo's. And if you go brushless you can't use it in the snow.

i would assume typo cuz i think i don't think LIPO's can discharge that slowly, its just not possible to do, it like trying trying to plug a deans into a tam. connecter, it just won't work
and yeah as for off-road jato's comment i LVC is all you need, well 2 accually

the lug

RE: What type of connector

everyone told me you can do lipo on a stock e-maxx? as long as its 2s....so i have to go nimh?
oh and its a typo lol 20c haha

wrong, the stock esc can take 2 7 cell nihms and 2 2s lipos
7 cell nihm - 8.4 vlts
2s lipo- 7.4

and lug, he only needs 1 2s LVC

RE: What type of connector

But do i have to buy a lipo with traxxas connectors?

RE: What type of connector

He ask what type of connectors to use not can I use lipo's. Just use traxxas connectors.

off-road jato 01-25-2009 08:51 PM

RE: What type of connector

Most lipo's come with deans connecters so I would convert the esc to deans connecters. I converted my e-revo to deans connecters and got a much better connection.

RE: What type of connector

traxxas said it cant handle lipos

read above ^^

i recommend going traxxas plugs, deans will void your warranty, or at least, if there is a problem, you will have to pay more for changing the plugs
I find soldering trx plugs easier

really? i mean
2s lipos-7.4 vlts
6 cell- 7.2 vlts
7 cell- 8.4 vlts
lipo is less volts than 7 cell...

DS 01-25-2009 08:56 PM

RE: What type of connector

Will a 7 cell be better because it has more volts?

RC_Basher20 01-25-2009 08:58 PM

RE: What type of connector

Now, that i think of it, yeah, but lipo will have longer runtimes :D

off-road jato 01-25-2009 09:05 PM

RE: What type of connector

I would just go brushless and lipo. that solves every problem.

DS 01-25-2009 09:10 PM

RE: What type of connector

No because i want to run all yr round

RE: What type of connector

gotcha. If you still want waterproof then check out kershawdesigns.com they have huge brushed motors that will work with the stock esc.

RE: What type of connector
