e-revo questions

would a spektrum SR3000 reciver work in a e-revo? i am asking because the e-revo uses 2 sevros for the steering. also i am putting in a novak hv maxx 6.5 motor in it. what size pinion should i buy for it? and what other upgrades should i buy for it for hard bashing?

thanks

RE: e-revo questions

You'd have to get a Y harness like the link.

RE: e-revo questions

I'm sure you could... why don't you enter Y harness in towers search box and find out?

As for the HVMax... not sure on the gearing as I have a MMM in my erevo, it would really depend on what you're doing with it. Mostly on road, mostly off road? what kind of batteries?

Yes that will work.

As I don't have the HVmax myself I'm going to leave that for someone else.

No that wont work because of that big fat thing in the middle. I would recomend something like this, http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXH451&P=7
or this http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXHZW5&P=7
Why wouldn't it work? Besides looking a little bulky there is no practical difference between them. Personally I've got so many stock switches sitting around I would just make my own.

RE: e-revo questions

The stock spur size is 19 tooth although it should be 17 because it runs really hot. As for the pinion for the HV I am not sure but if you are using the stock motors for a bit you might want to put 17 tooth gears in. Hope this helps.
