So my mate had a Bandit. He wanted it more like a truck. He got some Rustler parts. And made a Bustit.

Upgrades:

-Yeah Racing 9T 4300kv Brushless system.
-Integy Piggy Back Shocks.
-Integy Wheelie Bar.
-Race bearings.
-Aluminium/ Carbon fibre arms front and rear.
-2.2" truck wheels/tyres.
-Hectic-ness

Thanks mate, nah they are Integy.

That looks great but in all honesty I'd get those arms off there. They look great for a shelf queen but Lets just say they are not the best quality. For running you're much better off with the stock arms or RPM.

RE: TRAXXAS BUSTIT

Well we'll jst have to wait and see how they go.

If your opinion is based on the fact that they are Integy then thats fine. All the integy parts we have owned have held up well and I fully support Integy (I know a lot of people steer clear of the brand).

They are aluminium and carbon fibre, they should hold up just fine. And yeah, half the reason they were bought is because they look so good lol. We've got plenty of spare parts if they should happen to break.

RE: TRAXXAS BUSTIT

My opinion wasn't strickly on the fact that they are integy. I do agree that a lot of the integy stuff is crap but they do have a few nice pieces like they're gearbox.

I said they break because I have seen three pair of those exact same arms break. 2 of the pairs broke in the same place between the shock mount and where the hub attaches. The other pair broke where the screws go through arm and attach to the aluminum on the chassis side. Either way they always break where it's just flat carbon fiber with no support. All three sets where rear arms.

RE: TRAXXAS BUSTIT

Well I guess all we can do is wait and see. If they break, they break, if not, then awesome! It isn't driven overly hard or completely thrahed so they should be fine.

Cheers

we were doing the true truggy thing back in the early 90's .... as far as integy goes their stuff is pretty good .. i run the frt. clip, shock towers, msr9 piggy backs, on my dirt oval truck and their shocks on all my cars and trucks ... but i definately wouldn't run the aluminum for bashing tho, but ur truggy is tight! looks great.

RE: TRAXXAS BUSTIT

It all depends on how hard you drive. And to me. You can get quality aluminum for the price of integy aluminum. Usually even cheaper. There is really no need for CF arms unless you are racing only.

integy isnt great, i would go with FLM, but thats just my opinion looks good tho man as long as your having fun with it

I've never been too keen on Integy parts, but I have to admit it looks really good. [sm=thumbs_up.gif]

i have an integy heatsink on my stampede and when the motor gets it a little bit warm (140f) i can easily bend it with my fingers

Unfortunately hard to see much of the bustit, and it looks like the camera has trouble recording fast motion - is it from a cellphone?

Andyjk 09-03-2009 07:24 PM

RE: TRAXXAS BUSTIT

Yeah its a 2mp camera phone. Well it's hard to follow a car when is doing 70km/h and when mine is going 50 or so.

RE: TRAXXAS BUSTIT

Can't agree more about the speed. :) I was just curious about the unusual effect.

I'll probably be picking up a Flip MinoHD to record mine but there's no way I'd put a $100+ camera in my truck, heh. :P

Regardless, the Bustit is awesome. :D

I have great luck with Integy parts, no problem whatsoever. Great looking parts as usual.
