Cigarette lighter plug to wall outlet

I bought a charger and the only output it has is a cigarette lighter plug like this:

Is there any adapter or power supply I can buy that will allow me to use this charger with a wall oulet?

The only way to get the charger to work with a wall outlet is to get a DC power supply and by either opening up the power supply(if the cigarette lighter plug is attached to the PCB) or making a male-male banana connector cord(if it uses banana plugs). There is no sense in using an adapter with the cigarette lighter plug. If you don't feel like opening it up you can always cut the connector off and solder on banana connectors.

Not really sure why they'd use a lighter adapter, most people I know hook directly to the battery or use a 12v DC power supply.

There are small adapters that go from a wall outlet to a lighter socket, but they are intended for cell phone chargers and other low power devices, and won't supply nearly enough power for your charger.

I've seen larger ones at auto parts stores that might work, but you'd be better off cutting the lighter plug off and going the banana plug route with a 12v DC supply.

the only one I've seen was rated to 2amps...which is surely insufficient for high powered battery charging.

I say, cut the wire, put male banana plugs on the wire going to the charger, female banana plugs on the cig adapter, and get a 12V power supply with female banana.

When I got that charger, I went to walmart and bought this Black and Decker travel mate. Its got more than enough amps for that charger. I'm actually still using it with my Turnigy accucel-6 charger. If you can't find it in the store should be able to find a place on line to get one.(E-bay, amazon etc.)

Should be able to find it in the sporting goods/camping section.
