Default Dirt oval Tire Question

i am kinda new to the dirt oval. I am building a late model out of a 1/10th scale 4wd buggy. I ahve my chassis and set up going good, but question on tires. I see some people running foams and some have buggy type tire. Which would be the best to go with? looking for thoughts and ideas thanks. this will be a Brushless Electric car.

It's going to depend on the track surface. A dry dusty or loose dirt track will work better with buggy tires where as a hard packed
track will tend to like foams. The track I raced at was loose dirt and for my Dominator it liked soft bowties on all 4. That was a few years back and I ran a 10 turn brushed on NIMH batteries, so can't tell ya what brushless will like. The class is a lot of fun and I wished we still had a dirt oval.

Good luck to ya!!!

If your track is allowing offroad tires Id run those instead of foams. My local track is allowing any tire now.
So that had me digging in my offroad tire stash. But another track is allowing 10.5 brushless class, while
the other is completly open. So I might be getting a 10.5 that has adjustable timing now, turn that sucker up on the open class.

Track is very new. We have a off road track but a lot of interest in the dirt oval came about once we started working on it. Not sure yet on how it will end up being prepared, have not had a race on it yet. probably will play it safe and run some low profile off road tires. Yeah i am real curious to see how the brushless is going to work, might end up building some sort of wheelie bar to keep the front on the ground. I know plan on weighting the left side some to help in the turns. Any advice on set ups will help also thanks
