Default Older 1/10 F1 cars (one Kyosho)

I'm looking to pick up a pair of F1 cars that look to be 1/10 scale. They car both rollers with body and tires.would anyone know anything about these or are able to provide any input on them?
I'm looking to convert at least one to brushless. The car with the blue body is stamped Kyosho on the bottom of the chassis.

Well, you're right. The blue one is a Kyosho, that's the Yamaha Jordan 192. If memory serves Kyosho released them in 1992-1995. It was pretty good parking lot racer back in the day. Kyosho had there own hop-up options that made the car work really well, imo. Unfortunately I don't remember the chassis designation, sorry. Personally I think it was better than the Tamiya F1's made during the same period. Actually, the other F1 that you have is a Tamiya from that period. That's a Williams FW14b, the chassis is a Tamiya F102. Just to put that in perspective Tamiya is now on the F104 Version 2. I think both of those cars were discontinued about...14, 15 years ago.

Both of the chassis are/were good cars for the period. However finding parts will be a challenge if you plan to run them. The Kyosho will be the more difficult one to source parts for. While the Tamiya is of the same age the parts are still in circulation on Ebay and RC forums. Don't get me wrong they aren't easy to find but they are out there.

Personally I think you've got a couple of really nice display cars. But if you plan on racing them against today's chassis i think you'll be left wanting. Just my opinion. Hope this helps and good luck. Let me know if you have any other questions and I'll do my best to help you out.

Here's a couple of pics of my Tamiya Williams

Thank you for the info. I picked the two up for very little and as per the older gentleman selling them, they are in good working condition minus the electronics.
More then likely I'll get one running just to run on occasion. We don't have any tracks or clubs around here to race, so it will be more for entertainment bashing(?). I've wanted one of these cars since since I saw one of the cox .049 formula 1 cars as a kid. Not a nitro, but it should do the trick. These will also give my son some new cars to wrench on with me. If both are only in need of electronics, I may let my son build one for himself to run.
The cars are scheduled to arrive tomorrow so I'll post new pictures of them when they are in hand.

Thanks again for all the info.
