Steps 22-24 assemble and attach front & rear sway bars. I chose to go with the soft ones the ones included with the kit would be equal to the mediums which are yellow in color.
Lee I am glad I got the HopUp sway bars the stock ones are a bland silver. [8D]

Casper if it were me I'd put the 8.5 Ballistic in. I think the Evo deserves a nice sensored setup to work with

LOL Lee!
Willy I am leaning towards the Novak as well. [8D]
Bok it is a great price if you think about the cost of let's say a TB03 and then factor all the added cost to upgrade to match what's included in the EVO it is a no brainer. I know for sure on my DF03-RA after adding TRF shocks, slipper clutch, aluminum motor mount and heatsink it cost around $300. [:@]

RE: Tamiya TB EVO IV: Build Thread
I finished the car last night but ran into problems with my Novak. I swear this is my third Novak now with issues! [:@] Maybe it is just the 2S Ballistic line or something? I have a 3S Ballistic that is running strong. Either way it just pisses me off with their crap ESC's and having to mail it to them for repair. I installed a new MM 5700kV combo I had stashed away. The car was running great until I hit a patch of dirt on my 2nd pack and watched it slide into a curb... Broke a rear hub so I have some replacements on order. The cars rear end gets squirrelly when you exit a turn and punch the throttle. Maybe that's when the front one way kicks in or something? I've never seen that before but it will snap right back into line and dart straight after that happens. It looks cool but if I was a racer I think that would be annoying. Maybe install a diff in the front if I raced it and pull the one way out. I will have to posts some pictures when I get home, next up is paint a shell for it.

Well here it is minus the rear where it snapped. You can see in the photo where it hit dirt which caused the slide.

I'm not sure what body I am going to use. Originally I was going to use my Cusco Subaru body but I think it needs something nicer. Been looking on Tower but nothing is standing out right now from Tamiya. I may decide to pick up a shell from Japan from ABC Hobbies a give it a classic old school look. I did get the chassis protector but it wasn't here in time for the first run so it already has a few scuffs on the chassis. [:-] I was impatient LOL I guess it isn't too late to apply it though, just a few tiny scratches.

LOL Willy I couldn't help myself after building it and looking at the parts it really is a great value for the cost.

I decided to use the Cusco shell I had. Had issues with lining up the body properly the first time what a pain in the rear... Anyways it probably won't last long I have a knack for that kinda stuff. [sm=punching.gif]

Body looks good, but I don't think the rear tires and fenders will get along all too well. Is that a premade body? I've always liked the Cusco shell, but the decal work looks intimidating, especially on the doors.
