Drift Meister

Put a drift meister motor in my sprint 2 drfit, worked fine before. Now it seems as if the power is inconsistant. One minute it will have tons, next minute it can barely move. Bad esc maybe? Any help is appreciated.

What are your electrics? What wind is the motor? Lipo or NiMH? Whats the final drive ratio?

sounds to me like the brushes isnt making constant contact with the comm. advice would be to check the brush springs, and inspect the comm. might just be something small, like a sticky brush, or the comm needs cleaning or a cut

Also, if the brushes get too short, the brush springs cannot put the necessary pressure on them, because their tab positions will be lower towards the comm, and will have less spring tension.

check springs, brushes, comm, windings, and also check where the brush connects to the motor leads, it may be loose or a bad connection.

Bad connection would be my guess.

I had the same problem with my tt-01. I took the brushes out of the motor, checked voltage coming out of the esc... etc. Turns out it was a bad esc connection at the radio. Found 1 of the terminals was slightly backed out of the connector.
