What is the difference between Team Associated TCR5F and TCR5R?
Hi
I am a newby in fast electric car and is thinking of getting the Team Associated TCR5 kit. Problem is that I am confused as there are 3 versions:eek:..... TCR5: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXRJK2&P=0 TCR5F: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXUZA9&P=0 TCR5R: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXUZA8&P=0 Whats is the difference between those 3? I understand TCR5F is foam tyre version and TCRFR is rubber tyre version..... Can someone explain the difference to me? I'll be using the car mainly on parking lots and regular streets, not special prepared tracks.;) Thanks a lot. JC |
RE: What is the difference between Team Associated TCR5F and TCR5R?
the tc5 is the first version. The diff between the tc5r and tc5f is the tc5f has a different top deck and foam tires with the kit. When running carpet wth foam, you want the chassis alot stiffer than you would for asphalt. now you can run a rubber car tire on carpet and it works well also, you just have to do more adjustments

you can run foam tires on asphalt, alot of nitro guys do. but they do use very wide rims/tires. the tc5f car would be too stiff for the asphalt/concrete
