I recently purchased the Real flight 9.5 through horizon hobby. I then downloaded STEAM and went through the process of activating the real flight software. The software would not run properly and I could not get it to load. After a few emails to their support, they were basically unable to resolve my issue. The last email I got was a bunch of links that did not help me.
I asked for a refund based on the following facts:
1. HH has no phone support of realfight. It is cumbersome and difficult to fix issues without someone on the phone explaining the situation.
2. They did not resolve my issue.
3. No issues with computer. Up to date. drivers up to date. 1TB solid state hard drive. Advanced graphic cards.
3. After I asked for a refund, they stated it was their "policy" that they do not refund software purchased. Granted, this would be very easy to do since there was no shipping of the product and I have already uninstalled STEAM and RF 9.5.
At this point, I filed a dispute with my CC company. My legal council states next step is to file in small claims court if they do not refund.
In summary, I just wanted the product to work that I paid for. Nothing special.
Sending my experience out to others.

I had a small problem because I didn't do the right order of install and plug in controller. I have put steam on a half dozen computers, it isn't that difficult. I put realflight on no sweat, on two computers. If you follow their directions I can't believe they can't tell you what to do. Maybe you should see if a friend knows something about computers and could help. Oh, and NOBODY takes software back. That just means they are supplying pirating. Might as well calmly go back and carefully do what they said.
