Connect transmitter to pc
I was wondering is anyone has plans on how to connect a Futaba skyport 4 to a PC. Also, about how much would it cost to make it and will it work an a wide variety of flight simulation software? Are the parts available at any place that sells ciruit items? I have the Flying Model Simulator.
I was wanting to save money because some of those connections are very expensive. But, getting the Great Planes flight simulator would be best, but sadly, I am a poor college student. [][&o] It is expensive enough just flying. BUT IS IS SO MUCH FUN!!![8D]
It would also be great if the plans were easy to understand, since I am not big on circuits.
I have windows xp

You can get a FMS connector for your Futaba. FMS is a fine product ... won't do terrific 3D but will keep you busy. Just do a search on that very famous auction site for "FMS". You will see plenty of cables avaiable for sale for 12-$20 a piece. I was broke through college too ... I'm with ya.

Hi. I have done a cable myself. I found the instructions on this site.
http://www.heliguy.com/nexus/index.html
There is a link to download the latest version of FMS and how to do the cable. It's really easy and cheap (about 7$).
On the site, click Enter and Free Simulator.
Happy training!

I have bought several different cables here with very good results. The guy is in the UK, but it only takes 5 days to arrive to the US.

US vendor
I've got my USB interface from www.milehighwings.com -- received it in 2 days, works with many different simulators (there's a compatibility table somewhere on their site).
