Default Convair XFY-1 Pogo for G3!

Rcwarbirds.com, et al present new model for G3 users, @ knifeedge swap pages!

Rcwarbirds.com presents our first custom aircraft for Realflight G3, the Convair XFY-1 Pogo. This model represents a test aircraft of the US Airforce. The real Pogo flew many test flights and made many successful vertical take off and landings but was thought not practical for production. This model attempts to duplicate the flying characteristics of the real plane and will take off and land vertically. It will hover like a helicopter and fly like a jet. The real Pogo was powered by a Turbo Prop engine and had counter rotating props as does our model.

Beautiful 3d model designed and built by David Zurawski. Perfect conversion to Realflight G3 by inkyOO and excellent and very difficult flight/physics model by opjose.

Hi,
wow, looks good!

It seems that G3-models begin to become as attractive as AFPD-models were already years ago...
Or in other words: good things are allways copied...

Cheers,
Lego

No intention of copying the AFPD model, did not even know one existed. This is an original model by David Zurwaski and has only appeared in one other flight sim. Please reserve your promotion for someone elses thread.

Paul the AFPD guys are just insanely jealous because G3 users can make their own models now. Since AFPD already has just about every plane known to man their gonna claim that we "copied" them every time a plane comes out for G3. Just do your best to try and ignore them...

Well Rick I have been in flight sims for a long time and at one time built many planes for them. The flight sim community never did have a problem with two or three guys building the same plane, look at Flightsim.com, they have thousands and thousands of user made planes for download.

I tried AFPD once and sold it the next day, could not do anything to the airplane to modify it, then G3 came along with the ability to tweak almost every nut and bolt so that is the sim we are going with for rcwarbirds realistic series.

Now if only I coudl persuad you to build a B-25

Jealous? HA! And you did copy the IPACS' Giles, why else would you have changed the scheme on it.

I'm glad you didn't live up to your word.

Hey Dion the Great nice website! See the thing I admire about all of Dions sites are how different and unique each one is, for example look at http://www.ohiomodelproducts.com and then look at http://www.thehobbyquest.com -it would be pathetic if he just kept on doing the same site for each new busines that hes the CEO of each week hey what ever happened wtth joehuntsucks.com did they bust you for that?

Hi Paul,
no need for assuming something negative. All I did say is that the G3 Pogo looks good and that good things are allways copied - NOT meaning that SOMEONE copied MY AFPD Pogo. I meant it more in general that most 'good things' are re-made by different persons - just as you said: most popular models come out for almost any flightsim, because they are good (=popular).

To underline my intention I spread those simleys, didn't I?
I thought this was understandable... Sorry if not!

Rick,
why do you allways interprete everything related to comparison between AFPD/G3 in a such negative way?? My saying was just meant positively!
But maybe you are the one focused too much on his favorite sim that you don't notice if someone from the AFPD community said just some words honoring a good model for G3...

Cheers,
Lego

Well, Rick went through some rough experience with another AFPD user(s). He is probably speaking from past reference. It sort of did sound negative, but I knew what you meant.

Rough experience? Ha ... hook, line and sinker to his fellow cronies. Oh and he did copy IPACS' Giles.
