close enough to real?
I consider myself an intermediate flyer and I am ready to purchase my next plane...I am also getting realflight G2 to help me hone my skills. now my question, is the sim accurate enough that if I find a plane in it that I like, does the sim give me an accurate "feeling" of how that particular plane might handle in real life? ( i.e. tipstalling and quirky characteristics of a certain type of plane) or is it a generic handling file that they use for a type of plane? thanks for any help, Kingcobra

RealFlight G2
From what I've found, the planes on RealFlight fly just like the "real thing". I've found that you can adjust the CG, wing chord, etc on the plane to make it handle differently. Move the CG too much..... and whoops! The plane is uncontrollable, just like in real life.
The nice thing is.... if you crash, just hit the space bar. The plane is good as new, sittting on the runway, ready to go! ( Wish it was that way in real life too! ) ;) Hope this helped you. Best regards, Mike |
thank you!
I think this will be an important learning tool for me...in more ways than just helping me be a better pilot. I also make my own planes from scratch and this will surely help me in my designs and engineering as I can try a lot of different variables/ideas in the sim before I build. and thanks for the reply!
