Which plane is the best to learn how to fly on with the Real flight g5.5? I have only flown a few times on a buddy cord with a local guy. It is hard for me to get together with him so I purchased this simulator to help me learn.

Try the Calmato 40.  Set the wind for 0 m/s initially, then after you have mastered flying straight and level, taking off, and landing, try upping the wind to 3 m/s straight down the runway.  Have fun!

You can go to the swap pages on the realflight site and look for trainers.
I would get the plane you have the model for and use that.
Once you get familiar with the program you can change the
parameters to match your plane, like weight, prop dimensions.
I found flying with 0 wind was not much help because once with the
model flying in wind you start to see how different the model flies vs the sim.

One post suggests downloading trainers from the Knife Edge site and I would add finding the HZ Champ there to download. I put this on my RF5 and mappedthe controller to be the same the one as provided by HZ. I mapped channel 1 as "Channel 4 Yaw" (rudder) and mapped channel 4 as a "Channel 9". I just put something on the channel 4 (left stick -side movement) so it had no effect on control.

The plane flew exactly as it would using the right stick to control up/down and side to side rudder - just like the HZ Champ's controller. It really helped both my grandson and myself learn to fly the Champ. I have also become a huge fan of the HZ Champ as a starter plane.

Good luck. For the aileron training you can't beat the Nexstar trainers on RF.

I'd suggest working with the NexStar. It is also the aircraft used in the training features of RealFlight. You'll find it an excellent trainer, large enough to handle some wind and also has mild aerobatic ability.

I think the Alpha 40 is the best. I used the Avistar because this is the plane I actually bought to learn to fly.
I do not recommend planes like PT40 or Nexstar because they do not ultimately fly like a regular plane.

EFlight's T-34 25 ARF is the plane the US Navy used to teach their pilots to fly for decades. It flies well. I purchased the 25 RFT ePTS version of this plane as my first plane and have it ready for it's maiden voyage. The T-34 25 ARF is available in the RealFlight's add-on's section under add-on #4. (I just hope my real plane flies this great!!!)

start with the nexstar trainer. although my brother had never touched a rc plane in his life and i started him off on the electrifly edge 540t ep on realflight with the dual rates turned on and said when u can fly and land this we will get u a real plane..3 months later he has a plane and can fly it no problems at our private field. just remember its only a teaching aid and training tool. things will be a tad different at the field
