will the "joystick" have more than 4 channels???
Hello i bought the aerofly pro and i'd like to know if could use my extra channels on my transmitter when it's with an universal interface (the computer names it a joystick)?????
does anyone have the expansion pack vol 1???? how is the x cell fury?? cheers... |
Greetings,
You can use all the channels on your transmitter, if you use your transmitter. The "joystick" refers to the game commander that came with the program, or your computer's joystick.
I don't recognize the term "universal interface." Regards. |
will the "joystick" have more than 4 channels???
christophemalpa,
An analog interface, which uses PC's game port, is limited to only 4 proportional channels. This is a limitation of the game port itself, which only has 4 ADCs. USB joysticks don't have such a limitation, they may implement as many proportional channels as needed. Take a look at MiliHighWings USB interface: www.milehighwings.com It offers up to 7 proportional channels and can be used with AeroFLY Pro as a secondary interface. I've used this interface with AFP and I was able to assign all 7 channels to different controls (AeroFLY Pro is much more flexible than RealFlight in this aspect). Mike, "Universal interface" isn't a strict term or a trade name of any particular TX-to-PC interface. One may call so an interface, which works with different simulators, thus emphasizing the fact that this is not a propriatory interface like FMS-only cables. Keep 'em flying, Boris |
