X-plane as a R/C simulation
Check this source of high quality RC models for X-Plane flightsim, mostly free downloads.
It is a great option for mac/linux users, and it is super realistic simulation including weather, failures and realistic FOV flying. Using a 6CH USB controller works just great. http://www.vskylabs.com Here are some vids: |
RE: X-plane as a R/C simulation
X-Plane also works great on a PC and even your phones!

RE: X-plane as a R/C simulation
Can you set up X-Plane "camera" to where the view/perspective is stationary on the ground with the scene following the plane? IE like you were flying a model?? And the controller as your transmitter with set up as per an RC situation?? ?

RE: X-plane as a R/C simulation
yes to the camera...
As far as the controller with a USB interface for your transmitter to link it to your computer it may be possible. I use x-plane as a FS sim. and have real flight as well, so I have never tried to interface a r/c type of control for x-plane. |

ORIGINAL: GarySS Can you set up X-Plane ''camera'' to where the view/perspective is stationary on the ground with the scene following the plane? IE like you were flying a model?? And the controller as your transmitter with set up as per an RC situation?? ? Yes, you can set up the camera to a stationary view on the ground, and the scene will follow the plane. Now, X-Plane is not a designated RC simulator - For example You will have to manage the zoom by yourself since there is no auto-zoom. For the controller issue: Again, it is not a designated RC SIM, But you can use any controller that you computer recognise. It seems like a lot of issues, and it's true. But when it comes to simulation it's very realistic (you will need to use a fine tuned models). Check the link below for some tips using X-Plane as RC sim: https://sites.google.com/a/vskylabs....tup-in-x-plane |
