JR interface problems

Helllo,

I have a Jr Quatro tx and the required interface cable that goes along with it.

My problem is that when I run the Aerofly Pro program it won't find the interface cable.

I've enabled com port 1 both in my BIOS and in Windows 98se.
Both addresses are the same and so are the IRQ's

When I run the progamr and it tries to find the cable, I do have the tx on and the trainer button toggles on.

I'm running win98se with a ausus av266e mobo .

RE: JR interface problems

You need to turn off the power button on your transmitter for the interface to work correct. Whan you plug in the interface cable into the transmitter, you will notice that it turns on automatically. In this mode, only the coder part of the transmitter is turned on, and it is not actually transmitting a signal.

Secondly, you must leave the Trainer switch in it's normal position.

Thirdly, what interface do you have. If it is a FMS interface, it will not work with Aerofly.

RE: JR interface problems

Hello

Ok , I have the tx off, I have the tx in the normal position, with out the trainer button pushed.

When I bought the Aerofly Pro program, I also purchased the interface for the JR
radio at the same time, I went back to HoobyLobby, the place I bought it from, and I see that I did infact get the right one. The label on the interface says that it is a Machine Works PIC-96

i figure that Hobbly Lobby should know what interface works with the JR radio.

I'm running win98se, if that helps .

RE: JR interface problems

Hi

One problem I had was that the interface is shipped with a stero jack, and would not work properly with my JR, so a made a stereo to mono connector and all works OK.

I also inform the distributors in the UK of this problem.

;)
