hey, don't got ityet but was readin the manual on-line and saw about a Auto-rotation on a heli?? i saw somethin about it before but

WHAT IS IT??

Hey (again) a auto rotation landing is a landing with out using your engine what so ever, by using the altitude you have you have to make the blades spin at a fair rate, then you kick in collective pitch and flair to a hopefully soft landing ( for more information you'd have to ask some one else).

Yup, basically right. Depending on your altitude when you hit throttle cut, you either leave the blades where they are, then kick in some positive collective right over the ground to arrest your descent (that would be if you are very low), or, if you are high, you actually get some negative pitch going through the rotor to keep your headspeed up, then flair from a few feet up, *****g the collective right at touchdown.
