Making adapter FMS
I really want to make an adapter for FMS I know my radio is compatible (Futaba 4VF). If someone could tell me how to make it in simple form since I don't understand the sights lingo to well. Antyways....if anyone could tell me everything I will need and how to do it, it would be greatly apprecieated.
Thanks in advance. |
RE: Making adapter FMS
Here you go an interface for under 10 bucks and a driver if you use XP or 2000
its real simple just a resistor, transistor 2 wires and soldering or tape for a ghetto setup http://www.heliguy.com/nexus/fmsinterface.html http://www.geocities.com/deonvdw/Docs/PPJoyMain.htm |

Here's a pic of my old diy FMS interface (cable removed) similar to heliguy's design. It's easy to do if you have basic soldering skill. Use a cat 5 cable as the ground shield helps in minimising glitching.

RE: Making adapter FMS
It all depends on the Windows system you are using. Have a look on my web page for the different types available for the home constructor.

To control FMS from your transmitter under all Windows,
a simple and cheap PIC cable for serial COM port. You will also find research softwares related to transmitter and flight. Look for (simple)PCM in Article at [link]http://www.jdm-nivelles.be[/link] Philippe Brussels Belgium |
Joystick with trim, expo, etc
Additional software in the (simple)PCM series
Search with "joystick expo" |
