Game Commander and AFP

Hi,

I just purchased Aerofly Pro, and I think the graphics are great. However, I am using a game commander and the controls are very "jumpy". It's very difficult to control the planes. I've tried calibrating the system several times without much improvement. Has anyone else had this experience? BTW - I have installe the 1.6.8 (appeared to help a little).

Any advice on setting up the controls is appreciated.

Thanks,
Trent

Use your own Tx, especially if you have a computer radio. You'll love it

Put Expotential in. 30% to start. Also almost every plane is overpowered. Reduce you horsepower by 25% .... now try again!

This will help.

Did you calibrate the GC under Windows??

Then you calibarte under AFP.

The GC is actually quite smooth. (IMHO)

Got it to work today. I re-calibrated under both Windows/AFP again. Suspect that I may have move the sticks too quickly the first couple of times. Flying smoothly now (well, at least the controls are smooth). Thanks to everyone for the advice.

Hi, I have a question. If you use your own Tx does the Tx's battery need to be charged, or does the power come from the computer to the Tx?

Thanks,
Matt

Matt, you'll need power from your Tx. However, you'll get to use all the program mixing and dual rate functions in your Tx, assuming it's computerised.

You still need about 30% expo on each stick though, especially if you are going to 3D it.

You can set different expo for lo and ho rates through the radio e.g. 30% expo on lo-rate, 60% expo on hi-rate, for any control surface
