Need Help With Landing
I am having trouble landing with G2 RealFlight any tips or tricks?
Thanks! |
RE: Need Help With Landing
If you are using G2 you can set the landing difficulty. As you improve increase the difficulty.
Options>>>Miscellaneous>>>then slide the landing difficulty bar from Realistic to Easy or a point between. As to how to land - make a slow, low approach keeping the wings level using the ailerons. When you get to the end of the runway pull the throttle back to idle and as the plane gets near the ground gently pull back on the elevator. As the plane slows it will continue to descend. How slow you can get before the plane stalls will depend on what plane you are flying. The slower the plane gets the more you will have to pull back on the elevator to control the descent. Keep practicing. After a few hundred times it will get easy. :D Eric |
RE: Need Help With Landing
That's smart you are at least practicing landings. It's the hardest thing to do when you start so you might at well master it. Also, you want to fly the real plane more than once so it's a good thing to practice.

Under view, click look at the ground, it will give you better perspective.
Also drive your plane around on the ground with rudder only for hours, it will make you a better flier. |
RE: Need Help With Landing
Add a little throttle before touchdown and you should come down OK.

RE: Need Help With Landing
Use landmarks to set up your downwind pass, base leg and final approach. Finding the approach to the runway can be hard at first unless you are flying low enough to see the ground features.

RE: Need Help With Landing
Here is some good information on landing. Not specifically about using a simulator, but it may be helpful.
