Nexstar settings
 

When I hook my tx up to my real plane after trimming it on the simulator the control surfaces are out of whack. Should trim settings be almost identical on both? Can I expect the plane to fly in real life as it flys on the sim with what I think are ground starting points? Maybe this is a dumb question, but I am known to have stupid fits sometime.

Just thought of another question. If you have your real plane next to the computer while on the simulator, do the control surfaces move or is the rf blocked out? Thanks in advance

You should not expect the trim settings on your plane and the simulator to be the same. Every plane is a bit different, and needs slightly different trim settings to fly straight. Pain that you mess up your real plane trim settings when flying the sim. Maybe there is a way to get around this playing with the simulator radio settings.

The RF is not blocked, but your plane should be turned OFF ;)

I wonder. if I used the real plane settings on the simulator. would that be the way it would actually fly? Or at least close enough to know that it won't do something crazy on its' maiden flight. Sure would be a neat way to ground trim it. Thanks

There is NO link between trimming the real model and trimming the simulator.
The trim corrects minor settings to keep the model flying straight ... like the control surface not quite centered.
