Real Flight G2 Crashes On Startup (dxdirectinput.cpp)

hi, i just got a copy of rf g2, and it installed fine, but when i goto run the program i see the loading screen, then i see this message telling me its caused an error in dxdirectinput.cpp. Can any1 help?!?

Hi,

That sounds like the error you get when G2 can not find the controller. Are you using the gameport or USB version? Also, have you loaded the latest version of DirectX?

i have the latest version of directx (9.0b or something) and i have the gameport version, but, it has a usb adaptor on it. Also, all my video drivers are updated.

The problem is your USB adapter. Look at the controller options after you start the sim. You might need to select "custom" on the controller choice and then calibrate the controller.
