Can we get any insight on the next AFP version??

I was told the photorealistic scenery will be easier to do. I didn't ask when it was due out.

While AFP's photorealistic scenery's are nice they just don't offer the same types of advantages as the 3D worlds do. With the 3D world you have unlimited flying fields. You can fly in the pits, inside of buidlings, on tables and even land on the side of mountains. The possibilities are endless. That's why most computers games and PS2 games have worked hard on their 3D engines instead of opting to photoreal. New versions of AFP will be focusing on better 3D worlds while giving you the ability to add photoreal scenery.

Do think they will offer an "upgrade" price? I just purchased AFP and I'll be a bit put-out if I have to pay full price for admission ;)

There is no new version coming soon. There will be update patches, but as you can see AFP is state of the art and for now needs no upgrades. There will be PLENTY of aftermarket downloads coming however!
