I just started learning 3-D and have built a CG Extreme 330. I went to the G2 web site and downloaded this plane & the color scheme. I have been using it on the computer and you can learn to do it. But it involves alot of practice. Try using this plane selection!

There are a number of planes on the G2 swap page that you can hover fairly easily. Try any of the planes uplaoded by Kyle Woyshnis ... most of them have the wor "Freestyle" in the name.

there is a few stock planes you can hover too the ultimate and the cap will do it I got the twin star to do it a few times too but your best bet is large over powered models try the 3d persuodo (not spelt right but you will find it) it flys really well but you will have to put hte engine tourqe lower its too high when you download it

If you go to miscellaneous, under options, there's an option to change the time multiplier. If you set it to 50, its alot easier to hover. It's like flying at half speed. Once you get that down, increase the speed to 60, then 70, and so on until you get back to 100. Then you'll be able to hover. Plane setup is essential, I too recommend you download one of the ones from the G2 website.

Is there anyone who can hover the big yellow and blue extra. I have tried every setup correction I can think of to stabilize it and I just cant do it. Im wondering if its impossible or is it just me?

Ned,

Try the Extra330 on this swap page - http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/foru...smode_1/tt.htm

They guy who "tweaked" these models (Kyle Woyshnis) seems to be able to tweak anything in G2 to hover ...

I assume you mean the Great Planes 330L. It TR's just fine stock. In fact I have flown both the real one and the sim one and they tr similarly. It has small stabs so it has a very small sweat spot. But pull into a perfecly vertical climb, and it will TR without any problems. It doesn't harrier well in the sim so don't try a Harrier entry. You will start your TR Higher, but with practce you can back it down to do tail touches.

I learned to TR on G2 so don't let anyone tell you you can't. I started with the TR cap by Max M something. Very sweat plane. All of Kyle's planes are great for Harriers, and harrier rolls, but a bit too easy to TR.

TRing takes a LOT of stick time, but with the sims you can get a lot of that time done at home.
