G2 Hover

Just bought one yesterday, a lot of fun, can't seem to find the runways yet, but I guess practice make perfect. How would I go about learning to hover an airplane with the sim? What ship should I use and how would I enter the manuver? Can't quite seem to get started, how a bout a rolling circle? I am an accomplished pilot but have never really messed with these tricks, thanks.

and down load the acCap232-2x
file that plane will hover tourque roll every thing in the book
there is also alot of good planes there to down load
air fields and paint schems also
I down loaded some recordings so as to qatch how different people enter different tricks.

Thanks JimEstes, I found it at realflight.com and downloaded the Cap you mentioned, now what, by that mean I am totally computer STUPID and do not know how to move the file into my G2 stuff. Any advice for me? I am an old needle ball and airspeed type pilot, taint got the hang' o this here puter stuff yet.

What to do

What I did was downloaded the file to my desktop so I could get to it easy but where ever you stored it go to it and double click. It is self loading as long as you installed g2 in it's default location. ie where it wanted to go (program files)

After you double click it will run itself. Then just launch g2 it will be an avaliable plane on your airplane choices list.

hope that helps
later Jim

Plane download from G2

JHunter, when I download, a tool box appears and tells me the progress of the download, time left, etc. When it's done I have an option to either 'Open' or 'Open Folder'. If I choose 'Open' it takes you straight to the file saved. G2 has a really nice auto load program :D All you have to do is click on OK and it finds the folder and installs the plane (as long as G2 is in the default directory suggested when you loaded it.)

Jim Estes, see your in Wyoming. We got transferred out of Powell after 26 years in Powell, wife and I are both natives. Miss everything about Wyoming. Currently in Ohio, not a bad state, some really nice RC fields out here and a lot of fly-ins to visit, but looking for every chance to get back. Where are you at if you don't mind telling

it works

Thanks JIMESTES and GPUTT33 I got the file to work, what a world of difference, I have the GP 232 with an OS 70 on it and it has been my favorite R/C plane ever, on it's 4th year and still flies great, EXACTLY like the standard one in the simm. But this 3D version is OUTSTANDING!!!!! I have never flown a plane with the radical control throws needed for hovering etc., what a blast! If I can only figure out how to get into the hover all will be well. Thanks guys, both of you were right on as far as loading the files, I must HOVER now, seeya.

I am in Evanston the south west corner.
Just above Salt Lake City Utah.
If you come back you will have to come fly at our new field.
