Don't buy RealFlight G3

Just got G3 and I’m very disappointed.
I can’t believe somebody would put out a product without trying it out themselves, because it sure looks like that is what happened here. Most of the airplanes G3 comes with fly like crap…… nothing like the real thing. All aircraft jump when they get to the top of the screen, they have bad stall characteristics and you can break off half of the horizontal stab and keep on flying. I can’t believe guys like Jason Shulman, Frank Noll, and Jim Bourke would let their names be associated with this embarrassing piece of software. What are these guys thinking???? Didn’t they get to try this thing???
I’ve heard others say that you have to tweak this and that to make G3 work a little better, but isn’t this the job of the programmers?? When I pay $200 for a piece of software I expect it to perform like it is advertised. The sad part is that I enjoy flying G2 more than G3.

Don't forget, when you start up G3, there's always a 5-6mph wind.
gotta turn it down.
airplanes will perform a little better when you do.

Be sure to set the flight physics parameter to highest, if you haven't done so yet. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Jim have a huge vested interest in Knife Edge now? General Manager? He knows (as does the whole development team) about the issues, and is working to update the software. I thought 3D was extremely hard in G3 until I set the flight physics to highest. It was still hard, but with practice its coming along much better now. It forces you to become better at it. After 3D'ing G3, other sims seem too easy now.

The snapping issue doesn't seem so bad now, because you instinctively fly-around it when it happens.

G3 is one of those sims that, the more you use it, the better you like it, if for no other reason, you become acclimated to the way it "flys".

I agree w/the above statement now that I got it running fairly smooth on one of my machines I am having fun w/it:D

If they work out some of the major issues this has the potential of becomeing the best sim on the market IMO but in it's current state it is probably the worst (G2 is still better IMO)

About all we can hope for is that someone over at KE is feverishly working on more updates and why the heck is the "G3 swap page" still under construction??????????

Get the friigin page up ASAP so users who are good at tweaking planes setups (i am not) can start making them available to us!

Jeebuz how long does it take to create a webpage[&:]
