Interface question

I just got RFG2, but I got just the CD and no interface. I've got my Futaba 6X that I'd like to use with it...anyone have any suggestions on how I could mate the two, aside from the RF mock transmitter?

Thanks!
Reid

You might think about the USB Interlink upgrade. You can hook your transmitter to that or use the interlink box itself. Even though you said not to use the RF mock transmitter, just thought maybe you didn't know about the USB upgrade?

There are some interfaces available that you could hook your transmitter up through the gameport. These are ok, but you are limited to 4 smooth channels, anything above would be a switch. So, for example, you wouldn't be able to do flaperons/spoilerons. They tend to be a bit particular about what operating system version you are running, so just ask the vendor before buying.

If you want more than 4 smooth channels and go with an alternate interface, be specific with the questions to the vendor about what it supports.

http://www.rcjoy.com/products.html This might just do the trick if your computer supports USB.

If you don't need USB connectivity (for these "legacy free" computers) but can use a gameport (joystick) interface, you can order one much cheaper here:

Help link on top of the page describes set-up procedure.
Hope this helps,
Boris

Interface question

The one at rcjoy.com doesnt work with G2 interlink.

Has anyone found someone that sells just the interlink thing? or has anyone found some schematics to build a usb type transmitter interface?

Thanks

Have a look at this site - I just ordered their USB-Tx interface so can't say how good it is yet but at least $45 is less than the RCJoy interface (another alternative I was considering).
