New ATI Catalyst and Drivers Update
 

Hey guys there is a slick new Catalyst for ATI owners. It's got really sweet interface now and has upped my performance at least 20%.

Get it from ATT's site. You must have the Microsoft Net Framework installed. There is a direct link to install it if you don't have it.

Just an FYI.

Install it and play with it. Best part it upped the performance.

on photo real scenes i get 270fps now :D

What were you getting ... with my 9800XT I get up to 500 FPS now. I was about 400.

A definate improvement to my ATI Radion x800 grafix card.

Dion, i was getting about 180-250 but very inconsistenat between the 2. now i get 270 most of the time anywere up to 350 i got once.

Bummer it recommends SP2 installed. Unfortunately a lot of drivers for the AMD 939 CPU MOBO chip sets aren't compatible yet. If you gone 64 bit and done an sp2 upgrade consider yourself lucky. But then again with sub 40 second pifast benches speed is not an issue:D

Long story cut short....ive had to uninstall it.

first off the performance dropped in AFP, to about 150fps
2, i had huge problems starting up my PC. usually when i log into my user name its instant. but with this installed id have to wait 1/2 and hour, yes you read that correct! if i didnt wait till the ATI icon was on the task bad the mouse would freeze and i couldnt do anything, not even bring up task manager

So its gone
