FS2004 Visual flight path issues

I am new to Sims and using my MS 2004 FS. When I turn on the Visual flight path, It appears as red rectangles on the sky , but it dissapears when I repeat the flight...even if I enable it again ...it doesnt show. Has anyone else expereinced it? Is it a bug in FS04?
Tellin you w/o it I make the worst landings! Is there a limit for the MSL? what is the min/max feet I can enter ...What is MSL stand for ?
