My comments on AFPD
 

I had G2 for two years then bought G3. I really enjoyed G2, especially the landings, they are very realistic. Recently I sold them both off and got AFPD. This is a well thought out program that I'm thoroughly enjoying. I'm getting much better frame rates although my AGP slot is only a 4x slot. I was only getting 14fps with G3, I at least get about 30fps now, enough to fly it without developing a tic, and up to 60fps when pointed up to the sky. I think when G2 first came out it was in a class by itself, but I think that class is getting full now. I'll probably stick with AFPD for quite a while.
