Thanks for your time m00m00

Ive found 2 tools with your help m00 ill try these an let you know if successful.

I used the tmt2bmp tool, it worked great the only problem is the scenery came out well out of focus.
So that idea of converting the new G3 pano scenerys to AFPDs gone out the window.

Regards Dave.

Hi

Could you post the instructions to do this conversion. I can not find the .bmp.

How do you set up the preview etc in AFPD?

Regards
Jeff

Hi joffacn
You will need this tool called irfanveiw d/load from here http://www.irfanview.com once you have got the tool take a screenshot of the plane you want as a preview. You will find the screenshot in a folder called screenshots in the main sim directory, open your screenshot folder click on the picture you want as a preview that will place your picture in irfanview on the tool bar click on image
come down to click on resize/sample, now in the box untic preserve aspect ratio, resize your picture to 256 x 256 tic the preserve aspect ratio box then click ok, now on tool bar click on file come down to save as click on save as,at bottom of box
change file name to for instance preview-YAK54,now below this at save as type cick on button on right hand side this will open a list of files click on Bmp-windows bitmap then save, now the new resized picture will be in my documents all you have to do now is put the new picture in the named YAK54 plane folder. SEE BELOW the pic on the left is resized to 256 x 256 it looks bigger here but infact its smaller. check each pic and you will see the differance.

NOTE: To upload screenshots to this site you dont have to resize your screeshot and it must be jpg ie use irfanview.

Hope this helps.
Regards Dave.

RE: tool for TMT FILES

Hi,
there is a new TMT-format. It is encrypted to protect the author's copyright. The TMT2BMP-tool does not work with this new format, only with the old format...
