Help buying Heli sim.

Hi guys

I need to buy a flight sim to keep my skills increasing since I can't fly my helicopter very often. Here in Brazil you can find G3 pretty easy for $250.

I friend of mine have one and I have to tell you that I don't like it very much. Too many obstacles in scenery, don't like to have and extra control on the table, the heli doesn't stand out from background like real life, attitude is harder to see and the most important, the model just don't behave like the helicopters I had. I'm sure that with some tweaking I can have better results but I would like to buy Reflex.

I've being looking at online stores to find someone that deals Reflex but most of them don't sell internationally and the others just don't answer my e-mails.

Can someone tell me some place to buy this sim? Or help me any other way?

Thank you.

Ricardo

I'd say go with Reflex for helis!:D:D:D.

I think the best way to get one is contact Reflex and ask them where you can get it as close to you as possible!:D

Click here: [link=http://www.reflex-sim.dyndns.org/reflex-sim/shop/catalog/contact_us.php]Reflex[/link]

Hope this helps a bit!;)

Just for everyone's information,

Too many obstacles in scenery,
In G3 you can edit any airport to your liking, or turn off obstacles altogether with two clicks of the mouse.

don't like to have and extra control on the table,
Put it on the floor :) j/k I know what you're saying here. One guy I know designed a wall mount (two nails) to solve this problem.

the heli doesn't stand out from background like real life, attitude is harder to see
You can turn up the brightness/contrast settings in the sim. They ship with a default brightness of 60% but you can put that up to 100% and will have no problem seeing the heli's attitude. Monitor brightness helps with that as well.

and the most important, the model just don't behave like the helicopters I had.
Which helicopters have you had? Each heli in the sim (ships with 14) has a slightly different feel to it, so what you saw might not have been a good match for your preference.

If you're leaning toward Reflex, that's fine too. They have a lot of good features in their sim, though it's a different feature set (ex. beautiful photorelalistic scenery but no multiplayer). The choice is yours.

I was right!! Thanks for the lesson.

BTW, my friend's software is G2 version and has just 4 or 5 pod and boom helis. The one I like most is a stock 60, the green one. Flights ok but still doesn't feels real to me. I don't care about multiplayer so I'll go for Reflex.

Good news! One dealer answered me!! Looks that is going to be a smooth transaction. Do you know them:Bob Li [[email protected]] ?? They are from Hawaii I guess... :)

Thank you

Ricardo
