aerofly pro vs aerofly pro deluxe what is the difference

Hey all

thinking about a purchase today but trying to find what the current version of aerofly pro is and what the difference between Version 1.2.6 and the current one is other than serial connection vs USB.

Ikarus's web site was not much help at all other than the connection difference..

can anyone offer me some direction??

I fly JR so I realize I will need an adapter regardless.

Thanks

Phil

RE: aerofly pro vs aerofly pro deluxe what is the difference

Hi!

The other main difference is the "Pano" scenery in AFPD. Plus the fact that it is up to date with all current PCs etc..

AFPD is better for foamie's (Shockys etc..)!!:D:D:D.(The latest "patch" for AFPD has a VPP system!!!:D:D:D)

And I find the setup easier for my Tx (ie calibration etc..) due to it being USB!:)

Here's a vid of AFPD click here!!!: [link=http://www.streamload.com/Deliver/Deliver.asp?cxInstID=15770324&nodeID=1661051228&re turnPage=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Estreamload%2Ecom%2FNod es%2FNode%2Easp%3FcxInstID%3D15770324%26nodeID%3D1 139463089%26alreadyCurrentTab%3Dtrue]VIDEO[/link]

Also what do you want to use the sim for ie Helis or Planes?

Hope this helps a bit!:D

Greg.

Oh and have you seen the aerofly website?????? Click here:[link=http://www.aerofly.com/]http://www.aerofly.com/[/link]

RE: aerofly pro vs aerofly pro deluxe what is the difference

Hi,

AFP versus AFPD:

New stuff:
- Higly detailed new models, which are not available for AFP.
- New 3D sceneries (indoor eg.), new panomara feature with several sceneries.

Models:
- Flight physics reworked.
- Light weight aircrafts (foamies like shockflyer) and helicopters (piccolo) now work correctly.
- Left turning rotor systems for helicopters added.
- More than 4 rotorblades supported.
- Dual head helicopters supported.
- Smoke now supported for 2 models.
- Model surface reflections can be switched on/off.
- easyfly models now supported in AFPD.
- glider sound added.
- new free patch adds pps (push-pull-propeller-system) and new model for it.

Sceneries:
- Besides the 3D sceneries a new panorama scenery function has been added,
much better display than in AFP without cutting into single images.
- Rotating objects possible like windmills (3D sceneries).
- Transparent water surface (3D sceneries).
- Moving clouds at the sky (3D sceneries).
- Fog/Dust can be set from 0-100%.
- background music can be switched on/off.
- several music clips included.

Handling:
- Large preview image and preview text added to model selection menu.
- Help text added to main menu.
- USB cable instead of serial cable.
- USB cable adds transmitter to windows game devices, so it can be used for other games.
- improved interface for easy/advanced transmitter setup.
- F11 key for high quality screenshots, number not limited.

This list is perhaps not complete.
Also it contains important and less important features.
So you have to decide for yourself.
But you can see, it's a bit more than just the USB cable.
Also it's clear, all the free new models and sceneries are only developed for AFPD.
