Is anybody else having trouble connecting to the server to get the latest update. How about you who have the update, is there any difference in flight characteristics?

Yes sometimes it can be hard to connect to the server. in my case, I go in the control panel, proxy settings, and disable PASV mode. It works for me.


The flight characteristics are greatly changed for the helicopters, and several bugs have been fixed with the newest versions.

G2 - bug in 3.86
 

According to the RC newsgroup there is a bug in 3.86. The bug is primarily in the Stadium field and will not allow putting the plane on the runway. The plane is UNDER the bleachers and will not move. There were 7 or 8 posts on this bug today. My suggestion is to check it out BEFORE D/L the upgrade. I have not D/L it - I'm going to hold off until the "bug" is fixed.

That would be version 2.00.386. Just wanted to avoid a little confusion. I went looking at my version!:D

If you update to .386 and if you have this problem and if you use this stadium, plesae email us to help us beta test .387 before it is released, which seems to fix this concern.

rfg2 upgrade
 

Hi,
is there a way to get the upgrades as a stand alone executable file? rather than the program getting installed automatically? sometimes while upgrading, the system freezes or connection breaks and the result is a messed up program. G2 doesnt work anymore. This results in re installation from the main G2 CD.

Has anyone faced something like this before or is it only me? BTW, if there is a stand alone upgrade file, please email me the latest version at [email protected] as connecting to the g2 server is almost impossible.

Yes, it happened to me twice. I got an error that it couldn't copy a file, then RFG2 wouldn't work at all.

Is there any way to get around this? Where does the upgrade file save itself after downloading? Or does it just get installed directly without copying itself on the PC? This way, it would be possible to revert to the last downloaded version instead of going to the CDROM version of G2. :confused:

Yes i do have problem to update my G2 upgrade simulator too!. Few weeks ago when i try to update it. Realflight server rejected it because it states i have bad serial number. After 3 days of email Derek fix it . About 10 days ago, my computer crashed. After my hard drive formatted, Realflight server reject it again when i try to update my g2, but this time it states my simulator is registered by someone else ! How can this happen?
Anyone with sugestion so i can have my simulator running. Yes i have tried to get help for 3 days with no result by email.

I just wish G2 (post latest update) continued to work. When launching, it locks up my system.

Uninstalling and reinstalling does not correct the problem. Now I'm without a simulator!

Oops. My apology to G2 - the .5xx version upgrade has corrected the crash-when-launched problem. I'm again happy.

i am having problems with my G2 i got the new update and it says i might have to reinstall it i got version 2.00.518 and it wont load G2 i go back to version 2.00.386 and it loads but has problems like the crashing when loading and stuff i will try reinstalling G2 if that doesnt work what do i do amcross? hope reinstalling it works if not will post reply
