Mode 2. I'm not sure but I believe the stick on the right controls the throttle and rudder in Mode 2 while in Mode 1, those functions are controled by the left stick.
I believe you can convert from Mode 1 to 2 in G2.
It's possible if bought in the U.K. it may allready be in Mode 2.

Mode 2 has the elevators & ailerons on the right hand stick with the throttyle & rudder on the left.
Mode 1 has the Elevators and rudder on the left with aileron and throttle on the right.
The G2 controller is sold in mode 1 or 2 format.
In Australia, 95% use Mode 1. Try to learn on whatever is the locally accepted mode, as instructors that can fly mode 1 & 2 are unusual and it needs modyfing their transmitter and buddy box.

Hi,
The Uk standard is either mode 1 or 2...it pretty much depends on the club, mine is a 50:50 split others fly Mode 2 only...I would find out what the instructors fly at your local club and stick with that...after all theyre the ones who are going to teach you. I would also talk to an instructor before you use G2 so you don't pick up bad habbits as they'll be difficult to 'unlearn'.

Simba2k what part of the UK are you from?
Good Luck

Hi Simba2k
I've just had a look at the BMFA website http://www.bmfa.org and their are 2 model flying clubs in your area, if you contact them and see what they do etc...phone numbers should be available from the BMFA.
The clubs are:
Cheshire Model Club
Cheshire Plain Flyers

Hope this helps.
Richard
