PC Gamepad with Reflex RTS or other sims
 

My buddy recently installed Reflex RTS on my PC so I could learn to fly his plane too, but of coarse the only time I can get in any practice is when he lends me his planes actual radio controller since the program wont recognize any other USB gaming devices.

Questions:

1)Is there a downloadable patch or mod anywhere that will allow Reflex RTS to work with a standard PC game controller or at least respopnd to keyboard commands? (My gamepads software can do the rest)

2)How about the other way around? Can anything allow his planes controller to double as a PC gamepad?

3)If not, what other realistic RC flight-sims are available that can be used with standard USB gaming controllers?

I call it "try before you buy". If I get good enough I'll be buying my own RTS controller and plane too

"PC game controller or at least respopnd to keyboard commands? (My gamepads software can do the rest)" That isn't "try before buy". A gamepad or keyboard won't give you anything like a considerable input to control an aircraft or helicopter. An R/C sim is a little more than tetris.

If you want to run by keyboard or game pad, get FMS.
