real flight simulator
I purchased a real flight simulator from a swap meet from this nice little old man ( first mistake ) simply to play with on rainy days etc.
I asked if it was an old copy and the guy said only a year or so.(lying old S.O.B) anyway this turns out to be just the original simulator my misatke for not looking ( only real flight no g2 or g3 ) and it says I dont have enough memory to use it on my computor after the instal. Trust me there is tones !! with a high end 3d vid card. Is this copy just to old to use with XP ?? Turns out it is compatible with wndows 95 LOL there goes 80 bucks I will never see again ! seemed like such a good deal. anyway any peeps run this program with XP thanks mike |
RE: real flight simulator
Here's something you can try.
1. In windows explorer (the file manager) browse to the installed realflight directory. 2. Right click on the realflight exe file (don't know what it's named but it should be only .exe in the directory). 3. Then in the right click menu click the properties option at the bottom. A tabbed dialog will display. 4. In the tabbed dialog click on the "Compatibility" tab. 5. Check the box that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" 6. Select windows 95. 7. Click OK Now try to run the program again. It might work. I was able to run an original install of Duke Nukem 3D on XP doing that. It was odd playing that game again. I remember it being so much better lol. Good luck |
