RCFS V$ controller with FMS.. possible?

I have RCFS version 4 and it came with a basic 4 channel "transmitter". Is there a way to use this transmitter for FMS? The box plugs into the joystick port on the sound card.

TIA,
Ryan

Yes. Just plug it in, select joystick in FMS/Controls, calibrate it and you're away.

I did exactly that, but the simulator does not move when I move the sticks.. i.e., when I go to calibrate, the blue bars don't move up or dawn. It's as if the transmitter is not even there.. I'm running win98. What else can I try to get it to work??

Is the controller is set up in Settings/Control Panel/Game Controllers (from the start menu) and does it calibrate o.k. in there ? If so I don't know what to suggest.

Does FMS see it ok in "Resources" ?

Thanks to your help I figured it out. I had to create a custom controller in the Settings/Control Panel/Game Controllers, and the calibrate it.. then FMS would recognise that there was in fact a control present. Thanks Steve.
