Real Flight Classic Controller
For some reason my post on this went to the Clubhouse . . .
I pulled out my Real Flight Classic (w/Futaba controller), to hook up for my 7 year old son. As previously mentioned, I purchased the Radio Shack Serial/USB converter. When I went to plug it in, I kept getting an error that says to effect "device not found". I tried adding it under hardware, but couldn't get the right combination to work. Under drivers there is no 4 axis controller, however it does specify Real Flight. Unfortunately, I still can't get it to work. Does anyone have specific, step-by-step, instructions on how to get my Real Flight classic recognized and functioning? Tks |

Well, I guess this is a "dead" post . . .

Just curious. Do other USB devices work when plugged in to the USB port?

Although I don't have the USB controller for RF, by the nature of USB, you should be able to have over 100 devices plugged in at 1 time. There are restrictions, of course, like power consumption, etc, but that is what it was designed to do.

Thanks for the response . . .
Yes, my other USB devices work when plugged in. I'm starting to think I've got a driver issue. Any further thoughts? |

Did you try deleting the drivers & reinstalling them?

Did you ever have this working before? I tried to get the Radio Shack device to work with my classic controller and they just weren't compatible. I upgraded to Windows XP and lost the gameport on my sound card. I figured I would try something different and gave it a try with no luck. In the end it turned out that a file was deleted for the gameport driver by Windows or the soundcard installer. Never found out which but after re-installing everything worked fine. Toook the adpater back to the shack,

AKpilot RF problems
first, turn off your computer and plug in the USB connector. Then restart your pc, and turn of all programs that are runing in the background, especially your antivirus software. You may have to go into your control panel and click on game controllers and update or add a 2 axis 4 button controller. After this is added, go into Realflight and calibrate your controller. Hopefully, it will work without any problems after that. (cross your fingers and say a prayer though, just to be sure).
