Tom's USB interface
My USB to Futaba TX interface arrived yesterday and I was up and flying FMS models in 10 minutes! I bought the interface on eBay from Tom's RC for $30 (plus $5 for shipping) to interface with an old round plug Conquest radio. Tom shipped a CD with FMS (version 7), tons of models and landscapes, a few other freeware sims as well as the appropriate USB drivers. Although the FMS version on the CD wasn't the latest version, the simple install program and huge variety of planes made up for that. I downloaded FMS 8.5, used Tom's instruction page and had the radio calibrated in no time at all. If you have a transmitter laying around with a descent battery and a training plug, I'd say this is a good, cheap way to get a simulator up and running.

RE: Tom's USB interface
I was on the market to get a simulator, when I saw your post.
Thanks for your advice, I just ordered the cable. I can't wait to test that! :D |
RE: Tom's USB interface
I would check this place since IMO their USB cable is the best:
http://milehighwings.com For Blade CP Tx, they have the only cable that does de-mixing for the CCPM mixing that is fed on the cable by the Tx. Stefan http://rcflightsim.com |
