Hello to all, wanted to know if anyone has tried out the New Phoenix Pro sim and what do think of it compared to G3, AFPD and Reflex. Thanks for your input....

Where in this USA can I get a copy of the Phoenix RC Sim w/ DX7 cable. I can not get the UK to answer a email and can not find a US dealer. How in the world do you pay the UK in US dollars when it comes up pounds. Sorry but I like dealing here in the old USA. Thanks[>:]

On the far left of the website click on the USA flag.

:D I just got mine yesterday, ( Phoenix RC sim. ) I am REAL happy with the sim. Well worth the cash. I am sure it will save me alot of money. I have played alot of sims, this is the BEST I have ever seen. I ordered it from the UK, in 4 days I had the sim. GREAT !!! Thanks :D

I'm thinking of getting the phoenix sim myself..I saw the new reflex at the toledo show and it looked pretty good.. but i'm hearing that phoenix is still better..

I had used Reflex XTR before and have recently bought Phoenix.

They appear to be very similar although I do believe Reflex was better in a couple of areas and Phoenix better in others.

The Low wing Trainer in Phoenix has some funny characteristics, not sure if its 100% accurate.

Phoenix is limited in the number of different types of planes at the moment. Eg; It has 4 large 3D models with similar flying characteristics (slow 3D, large control throws) but no realistic flying scale type planes (eg Extra 330).

The Look of the models was better in Reflex, particularly the scale planes. The undercarrage on the Spitfire, Bearcat?, jets, with Phoenix looks like a cardboard cutout, does not turn and is way too small to be scale. Reflex had some very nice looking scale aircraft (Spitfire, F86)

Large Helis in Phoenix seem too stable and fly like the FMS Sim. BUT!!! Ive never flown those large Helis so perhaps that is how they handle.
The Smaller Helis in Phoenix are VERY GOOD. Trex450, Trex600, Raptors. The helis in Reflex were VERY GOOD too. I have a Trex450 and with a few tweaks I think it flies quite realistically.

The graphics in Phoenix are very good (as with Reflex) but Ive found I can turn my resolution and quality up to max (1920x1280) on my Notebook computer with Phoenix and it still runs very well.

The method of updating Phoenix is very good.
Phoenix seem to be very Pro active in there updates, so hopefully if something is not quite right it will be changed with a free online update.

I havnt seen the updated Reflex but the old version was very good.

I cannot find the phonix rc sim in the usa any were to buy, any help would be appreciated. I can buy the aerofly pro for 139.99 or try to find the phonix what do you think? thanks everyone. Just got done for the past year on real flight deluxe so iam sure either will be a big upgrade!!

Then they usually process the order in a day or less and the shipping from wherever they are takes on average 3 days. They would be pretty good to be doing that.

That is what Tower has done thoroughout the last year for my orders. And that was the cheapest choice of shipping.

That would be excellent for Phoenix, and they would be doing very good to do that. What country are they shipping from?

I got my copy from Heliguy around Christmas time. 6 day shipping to the States at a busy time of year. Best price by far (1 adapter included free) and excellent service. The sim is fantastic too.

What isn't made clear here is that you can create a copy of any of the planes - several electric, several performance and several scale. And water planes too.
That copy can then be edited.
So, suppose you have a Funtana type plane- you can make the plane in Phoenix to whatever weight, wingspan etc etc nearest to your plane. There are a dozen or more parameters to change, to get a plane damned near to the spec of your plane.
It is an excellent sim.
