RE: AFPD Downloads

You can download a huge selection of free models and sceneries from the websites below. Many of them require registration. Read the instructions for downloading and installation carefully. You are welcomed to post and discuss your favourite models or sceneries in this thread.

On http://www.ipacs-sim.com you will find some of the best free user models available on the Net. Many of the models you find there are designed by people that are mentioned with their website on this page. ipacs-sim.com is constantly updated. In the future this website will also feature manuals and workshops on how to built your own models and sceneries for AeroFly.

Arthur Schoenknecht: If you are looking for something real special, visit the website of Arthur Schoenknecht at http://arthur.heim.at/ He is building some of the most fantastic models for AeroFly.

Dr.Karl-Heinz Roeder: Another great site http://rodeo.onlinehome.de for superb models. Karl-Heinz also has a workshop online that gives you a good introduction on how to build your own models.

Rainer Stein: Rainer’s website at http://home.arcor.de/rainerstein/afp/index.htm has some great tools that help you create or modify your own models and sceneries.

Jojo’s website: The models on Jojo’s site at http://members.chello.at/johanna.vlk...er/Flieger.htm are really great. The website is in German only, but you should have no difficulty in getting the models.

Dietmar Kühn: Dietmar builds some of the most fascinating models for AeroFly. His website at http://www.kdkuehn.de is very well structured. Be aware, some of the models are for AeroFly Pro and not the Deluxe version. However with some minor adjustments these models work fine with the Deluxe version.

Jens and Michael: http://www.rc-sim.de is another excellent site filled with many Aerofly models

There is a great selection of AFP and AFPD planes in Maaarten de Moor's site http://www.docinsane.com/downloads/a...deluxe-planes/ You can download for free Votec 322, QuiQue Sommenzini Yak 54, and Bill Hempel's Edge 540, and many others!

Notes:
-Please ensure that the models you download are compatible with AFP or AFPD. Some models may be compatible with AFP only, but not AFPD, and vice versa
-Please copy the downloaded model folder into the "aircraft" folder which can be located here:
C:\Program Files\IPACS\AeroFly Professional Deluxe\aircraft for AFPD
C:\Program Files\IPACS\AeroFly Professional\aircraft for AFP

Just sign up it's free

Look a the file path of where it got sent to.
Go into programfile...makesure there's not a duplicate.
Notice how rajul listed the different files path for different revision.

Some model won't show unless the revision is correct...even thou it got installed into the folder.
You just have to go into the model's folder in the aircaft folder.
Open the model's .TMD file with NOTEPAD
Change the revision to match the revision your currently using.

Some models will have .wav files (sound) in the zip folder.
Copy and paste the sound file into the sound folder.

For models without auto install.
Just create a newfolder and rename accordingly
Copy and paste (drag and drop) or extract all of the files from the ZIP folder into the newfolder.
Drag and drop the newfolder into the aircraft folder.

Some models won't have a preview image...make your own.
Look in other model's folder as a guide or reference.

Hi Steve, please use small caps when you type a post ;)

First of all, the model must have a wingsweep function.

If your remote control unit has additional channels, you could assign it to "wingsweep" in the basic controls menu or to channel 25 in the advanced menu.

If your remote control unit has only 4 channels, some functions can also be controlled using the number-pad on your keyboard. For this Numlock must be activated. You have a total of 4 digital channels (operating like on/off switches) and 2 analog channels. You control the analog channels using the 2 (decrease) and 8 (increase) keys, and the 4 (decrease) and 6 (increase) keys. You can control the digital channels using the 1, 3, 7, and 9 keys. You can set up the digital channels with the functions retractable gear, smoke, tow hook, wheel brake and autorotation and the 2 analog channels for the flaps and wing sweep.
