Let me re-phrase the question

Running Windows XP, Futaba 4 channel transmitter. game port interface hooked up to sound card. I tried to calibrate every thing but the dog and still can only get sticks to control left or down. (on either stick). Any suggestions you guys might have will give me more to work with. If my wife tells me to try and calibrate ONE MORE TIME!! I'm gonna hook a .40 and some wings on her and use her to practice!! She already has FLAPS!! j/k

If you are using the game port, what software have you installed to drive it?

Start -- > Settings -- > Control Panel -- > Double click on Gaming Options icon..

. . should show all the drivers you have installed on the game port. You might have installed one that only uses the two channels you have described.

. . If you are actually using the parallel port, (and not the game port) you might need to set the BIOS to run the port in extended mode . . but that's for another thread probably!

I can't guarantee this, but I bet the standard, supplied Windows drivers are sufficient to drive the port the way you want it to.

Try installing from your original Windows CD.

Couple of other things to check :
1 . The FMS adaptor needs to be the first game controller in the list

2. You need to calibrate it in Windows first and then in the FMS program.

I give up!! Will wait till I find a deal on G2. After spending $50 on interface cable, I just can't see paying full price for the sim. Thanks for the replies folks.
