If you don't mind pluging/unpluging your printer (or, if you have a USB printer), you can easily assemble parallel_port-to-JR_transmitter cable yourself. The simpliest parallel cable will cost you about $5 in RadioShack parts and an hour of soldering.
Use any Futaba wiring diagram (available in FMS mmanual as well as in many places on the Net, drop me a line if you can't find it) and change the connector on TX side to a mono plug. The ground wire is the central pin, and signal wire -- the outer one.

you may already know this but matt clement http://www.mattclement.freeservers.com/fms/fms.html is working on a an interface for JR and may have it ready by now. He charges 21.00 shipped which is very reasonable i think. good luck

I've been selling these JR cables (both parallel and, even better, serial) for long time. I've had more than hundred happy customer as well as several people, who returned the cables for a refund.

Before suggesting somebody else's cables (I know, you were trying to help--no offence intended), may be it's a good idea to check the quality of those cables? The pictures at the link, you've provided, show unshielded cables--how good can they be in the noisy PC environment?

But I'm not talking about this! RCUniverse forums is not an appropriate place for advertisement (aren't we sick of all this ads?), so, I'm abstaining for advertizing either myself or anybody else. I've just tried to help a guy to find info and make cable without paying to anybody (including myself).

Hello,

I have done some testing on a FMS JR Cable and found that a shelded hood for the printer connector works best. I have also heard of people using unshielded cat 5 wire. I don't think that will be as good as shielded wire.
