Just Tried G2
I was at my LHS picking up some materials to get my Eagle2 back in the sky when I saw a guy doing inverted flight on a heli on G2. Mine is in the mail but I could not resist and he let me rip. I gave up on the heli after a while and many many crashes and then headed over to a trainer. I wanted to see if it really was as real as people say, my answer...damn stright. Right down to the control sensitivity this thing is great. You do have trouble unless you have a 20"+ screen but other than that it is awesome. The only thing I don't like is that you too easily get tempted to do barrel rolls and loops before you learn to land and more simple flight plans, landing on this simulator is harder than real life do to the decreased peripheral vision you have, pretty tricky. I was even taught how to do torque rolls on the Cap and take off in the harrier VTOL, pretty awesome software, expensive, but games are cheap, simulators are expensive :)

Just Tried G2
Mike, I have G2 Lite, but I'm very happy with it. I'm glad to hear that landing can be tougher on G2 than in real life, as I'm a newbie, and I'm preparing for my first training session. I make sure that I practice on my G2 at least once or twice a day.

KEEP ON PRACTICING G-2
Hi Guys,
I've had RealFlight since it first came out. Glad to hear you guys enjoy G2. Of course its expensive but but that money up against some planes on the market and weight the losses when you crash at the field. Im on mine most of the time if not flying at the field or working. I've seen post that an hours worth of flying on a sim is like ten flights at the field. Just remember two things, practice makes perfect and your transmitter doesn't have a space bar on it to reset your aircraft.Hee Hee Hope to see you guys during a multiplayer session sometime. i too am glad you enjoy g2. however you have to have some self disipline... you need to learn to take off, fly the pattern both directions and land ON THE RUNWAY before doin the rolls and loops right away.... the recommended throws in the manuals are for training only and will not allow you to do crazy things very well... my only advice is that if you get the balls to do something there is a saying TWO MISTAKES HIGH and if you not sure go three mistakes high.. it will give you more recovery time.. and keep on g2 if your serious about rc it will be time very well spent!!! and when you get g2 turn OFF auto zoom and keep it real!!! good luck paul c hope you enjoy the hobby!!

Just Tried G2
G2 is great! I learned to fly on the original one and soloed on my second flight/wm pt-26/deffinantly not a trainer. Have fun with it. Sometimes, its harder than the real thing. If you can fly confidently on it, your ready for the real thing.
