P-38 and P-51 on G2

I just tried the P-38 from expansion pack 3 and was suprised at how easy the plane flew. VERY gentle! I landed it on my first try. The hardest thing was keeping track of the attitude.

I was wondering if anyone knew if this was a representation of a real kit? I looked on the Great Planes website and didn't see one but thought I'd ask around.

BTW- I also tried out the P-51 and it was almost as easy to fly but much harder to land. I'd approach fine with it and touch down but then it kept bouncing up and noseing over into the ground. I finally got one landing right by holding the nose up longer as it decended to touch more lightly.

I can't say how easy or hard they are as models as I have not flown one.

But, with the G2 P-38 try your hand at a single engine-out situation by hitting the "K" key one time. For a total engine-out, hit the "K" key a second time.

Try a real slow and stablized approach and keep a couple of clicks of throttle in until just before the touchdown.

I can't say how a G2 P51 behaves, but for full size high torque/high power tail draggers like the war birds or short moment birds like the Pitts Special, you need to keep the power on and fly it all the way to the ground and do a 3-point (I mean 3 point) landing, or ground loop is sure to follow.

when i land it i come in at a shallow angle 1/4 throdle and hold it right above the ground, as soon as the main gear touch i hold the nose down slightly. that will keep it from bounceing. it may take a few times befor you get it but its working good for me and looks realy scale.
