Advice on software for designing planes
 

Hi folks,

I'd like to start designing my own planes for fun, testing them out in a sim and then building them.

Any suggestions for design software that can be imported into a sim, and a good sim for testing out designs? I'm sure somebody does this already.

I'm looking for the best combination of features and cost, but I don't want to cheap out either.
