FMS & Airtronics Serial Cable

I purchased a serial cable for my Airtronics Vangard radio (5 pin connector). I have not been successful making the cable work. I can successfully use the keyboard or a joystick but not the transmitter. My IRQ for COM1 is 11. The FMS only goes up to 7. Any suggestions?

Just a thought are using Win 2000, NT, or XP? If you are you need a different interface cable.

Sounds like you are using the 16-bit interface dll. If you use the 32-bit VXD it should pick up your COM port from the system definitions what ever its configuration.

Otherwise your best bet is probably to ask on the specialised FMS forums where the software authors post. Follow the "Forum" link from the FMS main page at http://simulator.home.pages.de/
